The government of Saskatchewan continues to champion oil and gas development. Recent changes in Alberta have made the jurisdiction less competitive against its rivals, requirements to maintain double the assets to liabilities and a 20% increase to the corporate tax rate has made acquisitions of producing assets in Saskatchewan very desirable.
